About Sherri ......

Sherri has lived in Cookson, OK all of her life. Her early years were spent at the hub of the community-the Cookson General Store which was owned by her grandparents-Jack & Bert Houston. In the mid 70’s she moved about 1 mile north of Cookson where she still lives. Growing up in Cookson she has seen many changes and much growth over the years. Sherri attended Keys & Tahlequah public schools as well as NSU in Tahlequah. Sherri has worked in her family business since age 14. She also manages Jimmy Houston Travel Agency in Cookson as well as handling the scheduling for Jimmy Houston’s appearances. Sherri has two adult sons and three grandchildren who all live in Cookson as do her parents and grandparents. Sherri is active at Keys First Southern Baptist Church.
